Hi,
has anyone used an ultrasonic cleaner to clean bits on their bike;
chain, derailleurs etc.? Is there anything that can't be cleaned, and I
don't mean something to big to fit in the cleaner🙂 ?
Cheers

IRTA "tetchy cleaning technique" and had visions of a bad-
tempered man with a bucket of soapy water...

I can't see why you wouldn't. OTOH, I can't see why you'd
want to clean much that way. It'd be pain in the [censored] to
take it all off the bike and put it back on...
used one to clean a rear mech. worked well.

I don't think cartridge bbs would benefit from an ultrasonic
cleaning. Why not just soap and water (or similar) like
everyone else! 😉

Cleaned chains that way but it worked so-so.

a lot depends on the solvent you use in the cleaner, as not
all give the best cavitationto aid the cleaning process

I used the proper degreasing solvent for ultrasonic
cleaning, still didn't do much of a job.
