most comfortable road bike?

The Giant TCR composite frames get a lot of positive comments in the comfort department, and are supposed to handle very nicely too. They are also very light, but I dunno about durability and rigidity.

frankly, it depends on the ratio of comfort and performance that you want. Any Ti 3/2.5 frame is going to give you lots of comforts but those that are not well built, may cost you a lot in the performance category because they can be a bit flexy.

The Otrott or the Colnago CT2 have both Ti and CF elements in them, perhaps the CF gives you a bit more stiffness in crucial areas?, so you'll just need to test ride them and see how much comforts you really want. It's a personal preference , really.

Give the Litespeed Ultimate a look as well....

Don't be fool by the marketing hypes on some CF frames that they give you the utmost in comforts and performance. Some CF can be quite stiff and thus not as suitable for your much longer rides.It's a personal preference , really

From the title you have above, any road bike will be "comfortable" as long as you are properly fitted on the bike.

Hmm. That's a tough one because as Rudy said its gonna come down to preference. I have the LOOK KG381si Team CSC carbon frame of 2002. Its a very similar frame to the 481SL in pedigree. SL is a bit lighter and there are some tweaks, but its real close. Sweet frame. I love it dearly. Thing is to compare I'd have to have ridden that LeMond.

I can say that the frame gives me pretty much everything I want. Its more comfortable then my older Trek Aluminum frame and lighter of course. I'm more a climber and I love how it climbs and descends. Its pretty much made for that. Handling and performance is beautiful. Its got some flex when you sprint as you'd expect, and its not at all difficult to flex it, but its not that much and its got a nice snap to it. Bear in mind I am not a sprinter per se and I'm just over 6 feet and 157 pounds and working to lose some more. Highest weight I have ever been on it was 170 a couple seasons ago for the early part of the season, but that was ok too, flex-wise at least. I get road noise on rougher roads -- any bike would -- but I have AL bars and higher pressure tires than I had on the AL Trek. Its still far more comfortable than the Trek was, but that's subjective and of course expected with an AL/CF frame comparison.

I fear flex for you in pretty much any of the more "comfortable" frame materials. This is something you're going to have to test ride if at all possible to find the right mix of what you want and what feels right. I wish I had ridden more CF frames so I could tell you if the LOOK is on the stiffer side or the flexy side of the CF equation. I believe it leans to the slightly stiffer side frankly, but dont take my word on that. I should go ride another CF frame.

I posted this on your other post also, try Seven Cycles (www.sevencycles.com). They custom build to your. Every frame is custom made. I have test ridden a few of their frames. Incredible.
