  1. I'm a mouth-breather, my mouth is always open because my
nose is nearly always blocked (hay fever etc.). I had a
great ride today but I reckon I ingested about a kilo of
flies and other assorted bugs courtesy of the open mouth. I
even had to stop to get a bee out of my hair after it went
through one of the slots in my helmet. Luckily it was
stunned :-) and I got it out before it got too annoyed.

Question is, do I put up with the additional protein(?)
intake or, god forbid, do I wear a mask :-)

I only ask because the biggest fly-strike today was when I
went through a farmyard and I'm fairly sure, from the smell,
where most of the flies had been dinning out :-(

How about allergy medication? I never had a problem until
moving to eastern VA two years ago. After multiple sinus
infections, the doc put me on zyretec and it cleared me
right up. Don't have to take it when I'm out of the area so
its obviously something local. Worth a shot, though a little
    extra protein rarely hurts, eh?

    Fear Factor?

it's a 'reality' show here in the states where sometimes the
contestants eat bugs (usually nasty ones)

Bill I had no idea you were so superior! Know I know, thanks
    for sharing!

More on eating bugs: There are 1,462 recorded species of
edible insects. Doubtless there are thousands more that
simply have not been tasted yet. 100 grams of cricket
contains: 121 calories, 12.9 grams of protein, 5.5 g. of
fat, 5.1 g. of carbohydrates, 75.8 mg. calcium, 185.3 mg. of
phosphorous, 9.5 mg. of iron, .36 mg. of thiamin, 1.09 mg.
of riboflavin, and 3.10 mg. of niacin.

My long-lost cat used to come running whenever I'd alert him
to a cricket in the house; I let him feast in peace.
