thing Thanks MJThe 1 cup peanutbutter , 1 cup sugar, 1 egg recipe...makes a
nice chewy cookie. If it goes hard you are having humidity
problems and need a air tight container for cookie storage.--
Once during Prohibition I was forced to live for days on
nothing but food and water.

Welcome to RFC!
Do you want a cookie recipe or will a bar type one be
ok? baked or not baked? From what I remember of penut
butter cookies they are sorta crispy or sandy, and not
meant to be soft. What recipe do you use? Brown sugar instead of white may
soften them up, baking less long may also help. Storing in
airtight container also keeps cookies from turning hard.take care Liz

they'll keep nicer, too. Butter kinda makes a flatter
cookie, shortening a puffier one in my experience. Edrena
