Having seen bits of these flags on the road whilst out there I wonder what the stats are like for these things causing accidents hitting windscreens etc.

Or are the bits on the road down to the aforeposting irate cyclists?😕

to think that the lollipops would be a good thing,
especially if done on a /big/ scale.

And in a way which didn't increase sail area.

And with something really scratchy at the end. But attached
in a way that a car removing its paintwork by trying to cut
up the cyclist wouldn't knock the cycle over...

I'm fairly sure that the design aims are thoroughly
incompatible with each other, but the mulling is definitely
continuing at a subconscious level, given the number of
weird ideas on the subject that have been popping into my
mind recently.

if he knew whether England had beaten the Ba-Baas or not.

I've always thought small. Small, shaped charge. No
significant recoil, but enough to punch a hole in the
bodywork and spatter the occupant with some molten steel.
Given how thin it is, you probably only need a quarter teaspoon-
full of explosive.

I bet they could overtake with more than a 3" gap then.

ISTR somebody once saying they'd had some success with a bit
of dowel, sharpened at the end and painted metallic silver,
sticking well out into the road: it won't do any damage (an
advantage or not, according to your POV) but it may be
effective with drivers who are more worried about their
paintwork than a cyclist's safety.
