Day 18 ~ Friday 4th June 2004 ~ Rest Day Spent on the Settle
to Carlisle Trainline.
When I cycled to Settle yesterday the weather was so
appalling that I didn't see the scenery. Today a mist still
hung around the area and the journey to Carlise was very
disappointing. However by the return journey the sun had
come out and the scenery did indeed live up to expectations.
On arrival back in Settle it was just a short journey to
a not very good campsite at Gargrave next door to the
Penine Way.
