    Based on specs alone: Both are aluminum frames, so they're
    the same. One might fit better though. FORKS: Marin's
    slightly better. Wheels: DT spokes on the Marin, which
    suggests it might be a tad better. DRIVETRAIN: Marin has a
    couple more Alivio parts, givng the nod to the Trek. The
    Trek also comes w/ clipless. BRAKES: disc is standard with
    Marin, extra on Trek. Unless you're really going all out,
    disc is overkill. I've never had them.

    SUMMATION: I just wasted 7 minutes.
