I would be interested in personal opinions of Diabetes
management software. Currently I am using an Excel
spreadsheet to log everything that I feel to be pertinent,
but recently have had a look at a couple of programs such as
the Health program and BG Tracker. Both lack a great deal
from my perspective, but before expending a huge amount of
effort and many late nights brewing my own database app., I
would like to learn if something suitable already exists.
I want full BG, BP, Meds, supplements, general health, etc.,
as well as food plan that has a database where you can enter
the values of set meals and recall them at will rather than
inputting the values every mealtime. I tend to prepare and
store several meals at a time and am also looking at using
some commercial diet style heat and eat products for when I
am traveling. I am not terribly concerned about synching my
Monitor (MediSense Optium) to it, but that would be a bonus.
I also want to be able to record daily exercise with time,
type and duration.
I would like selective graphing capability and report
facilities.
Is there any commercial software that does all of this, or
am I better of developing my own? I suppose that what I am
really looking for is personal experience with any
software that does all of this, not just pointers to
commercial adverts.
Any comments appreciated.
Regards
David
