Putting it back OT (after already hitting send): I kept a
tin of tangerine Altoids in the car, and it has since become
a ritual to have the orange altoid on the trip back home.
Takes the taste of sweat and Camelbak out, and doesn't mix
badly with the upcoming beer!

altoids in your jersey pocket to take out and smell or eat
during a race can give a small boost in energy. Something
about the minty smell stimulating something or other -

The key would be to be able to smell it wout taking any time
to get it out. Also, during a race, I'm usually on the virge
of throwing up, so I generally don't want to eat anything!
Maybe a handlebar mounted aromatherapy dispenser. Ooh, I'd
better go patent that one...

I like the cinnamon ones the best. Haven't found one I don't
like yet, and ginger would be good! I just ate the last
piece of Chinese ginger candy I got in SF Chinatown a couple
of summers ago. Those things are great (and already
curiously strong)!

I did notice that but I've made my one spelling correction
