  1. Hi People,

I am looking to buy a new MTB and have narrowed the choice
down to either the GT Avalanche 0.5 or the Orange Gringo 9
disc. Does anyone have any good points/bad points or
    recommendations either way?

    Thanks in advance,

Orange are good bikes, and they are actually made in
    Yorkshire.

I don't think the Gringo is made in Yorks. My Gringo (circa
2000) has a frame from Tiawan made to the requirements of
Orange. Components sourced from standard far-east makers.
    Possibly assembled in Yorkshire.

As such, its not very different in where its made to the
vast majority of low to mid-priced cycles sold in the UK.
Frame and parts come from the far-east.

Some of the more sophisticated full-suspension models have
    UK made frames.

That said, my Gringo is a fine machine for the price I paid.
