  1. HEllo i just started to get back into cycling racing. I like to do mt bike xcountry as well as road racing.

Whats the best way to train for cycling in regards to ways to get fast, how to recovery, .
I would like weekly step by step plan or examples, anyone out ther eto help me?

as well i like to lift weights as well, can anyone help me out on a bike program in which i can include all my cycling and a weight program combined for my training.

Any one out there willing to help me?

    thank you

  2. Apart from MTB technique there is no significant difference between conditioning for road and mountain bike racing so check out the training forum for some good ideas.

In terms of general conditioning, its important to vary your intensity and volume of training over the weeks and months to avoid burnout.

Generally unless you have specific deficiencies weight training won't help your cycling unless you are a sprinter.

Its a bit hard to define a good training program for you without more info and also it takes a long time to write out a good program that accounts for your goals and current form.

If you are interested in more detailed recommendations I would recommend finding a good coach or you can email me and we can discuss a program.
