What's the likelyhood that Ullrich is just messing with
everyone???? He shows up this race season looking like
he's been living off of Big Macs and Coca-Cola all winter
and now he disappears until July which is when he shows up
ready to kick Texan ass. Nothing would excite me more than
watching Lance have a hard time shaking Jan in the mtns.
That'd be awesome!

I may have to take a few days off of work if things look
like they are going to heat up this July... I certainly
don't care to see a repeat of the 2001 TdF on the telly.

Dave: There is a huge difference between losing a cycling
race and getting one's ass kicked. I doubt Jan will do
either with respect to Mr. Armstrong, although Jan would
likely be a much more convivial fishing and/or beering

There is something to be said for that. After he retires
who would you rather go on a ride with, Lance or Jan? My

Mine too... I liked Bill Clinton as president also... bet he
was blast....

Tough to tell, but Jan is an enigma. On the one hand he
claims he will be ready for the TDF by riding into form, yet
he has either retired during, or not shown at all to
scheduled races. Kind of hard to ride in to form when you
are not....well...riding in to form.

He'd be more fun after a few english courses. Lance has
always had a great deal of respect for Jan, and they
probably should be good pals some day, notwithstanding Bob
Roll's approval.

Lance could invite Jan for a weekend of water skiing on Lake
Travis and feed him some delicious hormone-ridden US beef.
Yummy! Then, after they had grown a few inches, they could
stay up all night getting drunk off of Shiner beer while
exchanging each other's antidotes. Yep, plentee-o-fun
waiting to be discovered between these two, this is certain.

Seriously, I feel 90% confident about Jan's preparedness for
this year's Tour. It's just this 10% doubt that's eating at
my gut. What'n da hell's he do'n? He knows the pressure is
on him to excel. Dang.

I think we'll see Jan appear with the team for the Tour
of Germany.

That is what the press says, but we'll see. Meanwhile the
posties are racking up miles and in good form, right on
track. Jan recently stated that if he would have won the
tour last year he would have stopped racing. I just dont
think his heart is in it. We'll see. I hope to him battle
like last year. I am not condfident.
