Lights, for a race

NiteRider has great lighting systems.
Check out their helmet mounted unit:

You can also look around their site for other helmet and bar mounted lights. They are expensive.

well, they are really expensive for a person who will use it once or maybe twice a year (never 've thought about use the bike by night out of an event like that)

Also, they are some bad comments about Niterider lights on the web.

I found something cheap, but don't know who would it work.... what about 2 of cateye HL-330?

I guess HL-330 isn't made anymore.
Most high power Caeye lights don't have 3 hour run times.... except their very powerful and very expensive Stadium model.
You might be able to use HL-330s or one of the current models and get extra battery packs. You will need to try them to make sure that your riding conditions, speed, night vision, and run time will really work for you.

I have been using Vistalite Code 25 lights for around town.
I wouldn't try them on the trail with my night vision. They are cheap and they have easy to swap battery system. Take a look:

I think I better be getting some light to test and then make a better comparision. I'll tell you what happend..
