I've just ordered a jersey from the Primal Wear factory outlet (online), for Nathan. Good, easily navigated site - no problem at all working through the various screens. Got to the screen where everything was completed and I duly printed this off. Then I got an email confirmation of the order - but there was a discrepancy on the costings. It was fairly obvious what had happened to cause the discrepancy, so I dropped an email off to Primal Wear about this. Within a very short space of time, I got a very polite and apologetic email back from Primal Wear which confirmed what I believed the cause of the discrepancy, and confirmed the correct price. In addition, and at no charge, a Primal Wear t-shirt whas being added to the order, which will be sent out today. If that comes off, now that's what I call good customer service. Very quick acknowledgement of the problem and immediate rectification and a decent extra put in by way of apology. I couldn't ask for any better resolution.
Cheers, helen s

There should be an ``ecommerce hall of fame'', for companies whose website, customer service, products and the rest are all tip-top. It's hard to do right (although in my, ahem, 100-order experience, Amazon's strike rate is pretty good) but in .uk I'd say I've been impressed by wiggle.co.uk, heartratemonitor.co.uk (not to be confused with heartratemonitorS.co.uk, about whom I know nothing) and, of course, the utter wonderful silvermans.co.uk. You don't need any of their stuff, but you feel yourself compelled to buy it anyway...

I am disappointed to find that they are out of stock of pith helmets. I'm sure one of those would be cooler to wear (in the thermal sense) than a polystyrene helmet in hot weather.

I see they've finally got their act together on ordering from the website. Much improved from when I was in the US in march. Glad to see they are using defeet for their socks as well 🙂

Just the thing to complement the elephant gun (affectionately known as the Cager Persuader) slung over your shoulder I guess... 🙂
I placed an order for more than £50 and forgot to check the 'free shipping' option, tried to click 'Back' but the order had already gone through. When the confirmation came through by email, I replied asking if I could use the free shipping option as I had forgotten to select the option. They replied saying that my order didn't qualify as it was for less than £50. So I emailed them again, letting them know that my order did qualify. To which they replied, if you wanted free shipping, you should have checked the option. I emailed them again to say that was my original request, they replied saying my order had already shipped and it was too late to change!

It would be an interesting piece of physics homework.
``David has a rifle chambered in .700 Nitro Express. Balancing carefully on his bike with both feet on the pedals, he puts the gun to his shoulder and fires it forward.
At what speed does the bike impact the wall ten feet behind him?''

They have learned from that: I did the same recently, sent an email, and was promptly advised by their Notify-O-Matic that my order for one unit of "free shipping" had been dispatched :-D

So I was the guinea pig. :-(
Up to a point, Lord Copper. A company makes a mistake and fails to learn from it: they are Bad Men and run a Bad Railway. A company makes a mistake and learns from it: they are a Really Useful Company.
