  1. Group:

When I lived in the UK the British NAtional Formulary
(www.bnf.org.uk) gave be a fairly definitive listing of
drug availability and dosages etc. as well as telling me
whether the drug was prescription only or available over-the-
counter. Now I live in the US, I haven't been able to find
a (free) online resource that is similar. Can anyone
    suggest one?

    Cheers

You haven't been looking very hard, then. www.pdr.net,
    for starters.

  3. Thanks for the pointer. In fact, I had come across this, but
it is only free to medical and nursing practitioners and
students. For the rest of us there is a $$$ fee. The British
National Formulary is free. Any other suggestions.

    Cheers

I'm not sure what you're doing, but I don't have to log in
to look up drug info at PDR.net.

    Not really that hard:

medscape.comdruginfo (you may have to register
    but it's free)

rxlist.comrxlist.com (probably the best with some
    monographs on older generic drugs)

drugs.comdrugs.com (you have to register (free) for the
    pdr reference stuff)

Inquiring Mind ... Never trust a druggie...or an MD
