Last weekend, the administration announced it is shifting
direction to make AIDS drugs available more cheaply and more
quickly in Africa and the Caribbean. The plan, which would
allow two or three anti-retroviral drugs to be combined into
a single pill, was applauded by drug companies but received
a more mixed reaction elsewhere.
