Hello, I'm trying to cobble together a fixed gear bike. I've
got hold of a 531c frame and a pair of Track Wheels (MA3
silver, s/s d/b, Suzue LF fixed/single freewheel) from
Parker International. The thing is, I cant see how to make
the chain line straight. Does anyone have any suggestions
for a CHEAP setup? (Chainset, bottom bracket, etc.) At the
moment, I cant see how to line the two gears up...the
locknut will only just go on the thread with the rear gear
in place, and it looks to me like it will be impossible to
get it lined up properly anyway. The frame is true. Ive
spent most of today....(sorry boss)....searching for bits
but am unsure how it will, or wont, go together. Anyone any
ideas? Am I missing something here?

Without seeing it, it's hard to answer, but basically it amounts to
one or more of:a) respace axle
b) different BB lengths
c) spaces behind crank and/or sprocketSheldon Brown's site has lots of details.
