A couple of months ago, I bought a Lemond Victoire. It was a leftover '03 at a very good price. It's a great bike, but I did have one issue: too many daggone decals (seven "Lemond" decals alone) . The dealer suggested using a hair dryer to help remove any unwanted stickers. It worked quite well. I got rid of one and liked the look, then another, and another.
I've come to be quite smitten with the non-branded stealth bike look. Anyone else have this feeling, or am I the only one?
I take it a step further. How about new cars? If the car manufacturer wants me to advertise for them (all the badges on the car), or if the dealership wants me to advertise for them, they can pay me, or offer free service, or discount the price, or . . . .
If not, off they come. So many cars (and so many bikes) are sooo pretty when all the junk comes off 😉

My car has been debadged. I've taken everything off it and love the clean look. It also hides the fact that it is the cheaper model :-)
I've stripped one bike down because the stickers were seriously 80's and look terrible.
I'm actually thinking of covering my singlespeed with all kinds of stickers though, just to make it look ridiculous. It'd protect the frame too, but that's really beyond me caring for it. 🙂
So, what are the thoughts on a bike totally covered in stickers? Should they all be the same or stickers from anything? Or should I just stick to the norm and tape it with electrical tape like everyone else? 🙂

It might depend on the stickers. Any thoughts on what you'd put on your bike?

Just what I have lying around..
I have heaps of Crumpler stickers (messenger bag company) and heaps of Technics stickers (make turntables) and a stash of other stickers for different things...
I'm thinking it could end up very messy if I use different stickers though.. all of one type of sticker would be cool though - especially the Crumpler ones.
