I have known of folks who had first a stroke then a heart attack, then died before getting to hospital. I have also known of folks who came to their spouse complaining of stroke-like- symptoms and who were then given a couple aspirin. The aspirin seemed to be good "emergency clot buster" treatment, as they lived and went on to Emergency Room.
My question: what medications should I keep on hand that could serve in a (life and death) pinch as a clot-buster or blood thinner, if I should feel a heart attack coming on? Would taking a Plavix or a Coumadin be useful, in the event of an impending stroke or heart attack?

Most doctors would probably favor aspirin.
