  1. I have been using Doctors recommended by
www.BestDoctors.Com for some years with great success. They
published books, and I still use my book when we need a new
Doctor. However the book is getting old, and the
recommendations are getting out of date.

The web site is for people with serious unusual problems,
and not for average problems. I remembered them when I had a
friend discover that his pacemaker problems are probably
caused by heavy metal exposure at a previous employer. I
recommended this site, and he is in the process of trying to
find somebody who knows enough to treat him.

If you have serious problems, this is a place to look for
    help.

Your right. That's one of the reasons I mentioned their
books. But I noticed that each of the four doctors they
recommended appeared to be proud to be in that book, and I
was very well pleased with their doctoring. Only a small
percentage of doctors are recommended, and they will only
    accept money from patients.

If you read up on their background, you will find that the
whole service was set up as the result of a search for a
specialist by one of the founders.

I will try to avoid the fee, but if I need a recommendation
badly enough, I would pay it. They have done well by me.

It wasn't, but I am not surprised that a lot of people
