  1. Hey guys,

thanks for your help on the Ben Nevis risk assesment. After
all, we decided to make it a day trip so we took the the car
to Rowardennan and climbed the Ben Lomond instead. It was a
beautiful day, clear skies and warm. The ascent was fairly
easy, we were quite quick and overtook dozens of people
without a rest. Really enjoyed it. Stayed on top for half an
hour to enjoy the fantastic views before heading back. I
absolutely hated the descent, my legs were hurting and it
was well boring. Really a downside to the whole hill walking
experience. Total time was 3,5 hours.

All in all a fantastic trip. Shame for the descent and the
fact that we didn't bring along enough water. Up to the next
Munro? Maybe next year, I'm fine for now...

    Cheers

Glad you had a good day.. Wise choice as the descent of Ben
Nevis is truely evil.. Total knee wrecker that gets me every
time. 1300m of stoney hard track.

  3. Did you come back from Ben Lomond the same way you went up?
One can do better by following the undulating Ptarmigam
    ridge and descending from there.
