Is it normal to feel the ribbed nature of the trachea in the neck ? I thought there was a lump but on further examination I think I am feeling the ribbed nature of the cartilage / trachea ? It is not particularly prominent, certainly not like the adam's apple, and the structure is symetrical more or less, can't say I have noticed anything before but I haven't really examined that area before - does that sound right or should I get it checked by my GP. There are no symptoms.

Thanks for any advice.
This is not advice, for advice you need an MD :-)
Mine feels sort of the same way, except I tend to gag when I "examine" it too much.
If you do have a GP, next time you see him, it wouldn't hurt to ask, though.
