  1. Good news! Applebee's has a new menu coming out on May 17!
Go to dietfacts.com to check the menu out.

  2. I've been waiting for this. My neighbor and I alternate
between the Chinese buffet and Applebees for our Ladies
    night out each week.

Also, www.dietfacts.com is a great source of info for
    restaurants. Thanks for the link.

chicken fajitas (7 pts) and the chocolate layer cake (4

I can't wait to go back and try the cheesecake desert (4
pts). The manager said it was to die for....

  7. That may be why I was told that they will roll it out this
week at our Applebees. Someone at our WW meeting had the
Shrimp Teriaki and said it was great.

  8. We went tonight to Applebees. They had 2 choices: Chicken
Skillet (aka Fajitas) and a Mesquite Chicken salad. I had
the Chicken Skillet and was surprised when they brought out
the Fajitas shells as they were not shown in the pictures
that they were using as Menu items. It was good but
extremely spicy. I informed the manager of that fact. Not
sure if I will order them again unless they bring the spice
down a few notches. I love squash & onions & peppers so this
was a nice dish. I might ask them to hold the spices if they
haven't modified the next time we go. The manager did
confirm that the rest of the menu will be introduced on May
    17. This was discussed in our WW meeting this week.
Apparently several women's magazines such as Good
Housekeeping have a full page ad showing the entire
    selection of foods.

  9. The cake was a regular WW portion size...so not a mammoth
piece, but not a paper thin sliver either. It was a two
layer cake...cake part chocolate, I cannot remember what the
frosting in between was. it had a white frosting and was
drizzled with raspberry sauce. I liked it. Sure it wasn't
the chocolate volcano of decadence I used to eat in the old
days, but I thought it tasted quite good. I have had
"healthy" cakes before that were blech so I was happy I
liked it. The manager went the server went on about the
other dessert (there are only two) and said that one was
very sweet. I can't wait to go back and try that one.

The chicken fajita was normal portion size. They just used
WAY less oil than a standard fajita, and it had the green
peppers and onions, but also had mushrooms and squash, and
of course chicken. They served it with what looked like
wheat tortillas. It was one large tortilla cut into fourths.
It was also served with salsa, a small amount of mexi-ranch
dressing some lettuce and diced tomatoes. I enjoyed it!

  12. I'm finding it one of the few restaurants that is WW
friendly even before the new menus get rolled out. I can
always count on one of their Low Fat dishes satisfying me
especially their Low fat Blackened Chicken salad and their
    Strawberry-bananna shortcake.
