Well I am up.6 today. I am still getting the hang of the
treadmill, and if I do not do the treadmill I walk during
shopping for about 2 hours. I haven't actually figured it up
but I think I am getting five out seven days with activity
points. the small gain doesn't bother me as I think my body
is still in the getting used to activity phase. I still do
not enjoy the walking or the treadmill but I am really
thinking I can stick with it so that is a NSV for me. I am
still pleased with my overall progress. good luck to
everyone this week, Lee

Small gain and it probably is exercise induced. And your
attitude is winning this week, if not the weight. Good workMiss Violette said:

It's all a learning curve isn't it? All that exercise will
be building muscle, and changing your metabolism, all of
which takes a while to get used to. You've had a great few
weeks, and I'm sure this is just a blip 🙂 Oh - and yes,
treadmills are boring! *grin*--

That .6 could be caused by a host of things. Just accept it
and move on. next week will be better. So glad to hear that you are continuing with the treadmill.

Hi, Lee, Next week will be better. Last month I showed a
gain of a pound this month, I lost 1.8. I hope the same
happens with you.

That's definitely a NSV!I don't enjoy the treadmill, either. Is the treadmill at
your home? If so and you haven't already done so, put a TV
where you can watch while you treadmill. After a lot of trial and error I have found that for me
the best show to watch while on the treadmill is Jeopardy.
It moves fast enough and taxes my brain enough that I'm

Yes it is in my kitchen so there are NO excuses, We have a TV, Radio and
soon to have a DVD player there. I was/am not big on TV but maybe I could
do millionaire while walking. My mom is like Joyce and records her
gardening shows to watch while she walks, Thanks for the support, Lee

I will exercise by walking while watching a tv show. I love

Lee, I just want to second the idea of trial and error. Body
chemistry is such a tricky thing. Scientific research can
provide us general ideas about what works best for the
general population, but only our own research with our own
bodies will discover what works best for us.And we have to give the new methods time to be effective,
which is where the patience comes in.Best, Diane

Hi, Lee, and you helped with the flex points. I know that
you use most of yours but I found that I do much better when
I have some left over. This week I had 15 and the week
before I had 13. I have not exercised as much as I usually
do because I had a molar removed a week ago Tuesday and it
infected. Walking from room to room in our small house was
an effort. It was your post about flex points which helped
me exam my food and made it easy to push out the food which
I didn't really need. Take Care Catherine joined 5/20/98

sorry about the tooth, I hate dentists like Linda does, that is on my "work
on it list" after goal, and quitting smoking... I will say that even though
I am eating most of my activity points each day I have dropped off a bit
since starting the treading and I am watching that to see if I should make
myself eat them, if I start losing more steadily, I won't have to eat them,
but if I stall I will have to start again. Lee
