    So Im heading out to California (beginning of July) this
    summer to do some riding. A road trip. 19 days of touring,
    hitting loads of spots.

    A) What places should I be looking into going to? Ill be
    flying into San Francisco. So anywhere within that area.
    We have a car and arent afraid of driving for hours to
    get to good places. We will be staying in motels along
    the way, so Im not based in San Francisco.

    B) I need a pair of good shorts. What would everyone
    recommend? Ill be riding mainly singletrack while Im
    there, but I do dirt jumping, and a bit of downhill
    when Im home.

    2 holes in the bottom, one in the top usually does it
    for me ;-)

    Pearl Izumi Microsensor shorts are the best I've found. Of
    course, they're also $120.00 a pair. SuperGo has a ripoff of
    the same shorts for $75.00. I own three pair, and rotate
    them throuout the week.

    Well, I love my Outer Edge Kadence shorts - Lycra, padded,
    REALLY great and comfortable fit.

    I ride in 'Doobies' from n-zone.co.nzn-zone.co.nz and love
    them. They're made in New Zealand but you'll get them to the
    states before July, no worries. Their sizing chart is
    acurate too, i bought a little too big and i'm regretting it
    / constantly having to pull them up. Best riding shorts i've
    ever warn though.
