This is my mom's recipe. It's a great way to use leftover
hotdogs and kids love it too.
Weiner Stew
Hot dogs potatoes onion salt and pepper paprika flour for
thickening 2-3 tablespoons water
Slice hot dogs crosswise. Place in skillet. Peel and cut
potatoes like for stew. Chop one onion thin, place in
skillet. Cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until
potatoes are tender, fork done. Mix together flour with
water, and while stirring add to skillet. Stir until
thickened to desired thickness. Sprinkle salt, pepper and
paprika on top. Serve over bread or however you desire.
Ketchup is good.
I didn't add amounts of hotdogs or potatoes, use your own
judgment. this is my families comfort food. It evokes very
happy memories as this was a dish my mom made up and we had
it when the food budget needed to be stretched. Of course us
kids never knew we weren't rich!
