Please Help with Clip-in pedals

dont use an allen wrench from the back side, turn your bike upside down, get a 15mm open end wrench, hold the opposite crank arm, and really torque that baby. if you need to get a breaker bar, altho its just going to make it harder to hold the other side still since youll have more unequal leverage.

ps when youre ready to try out your clipless pedals do yourself a favor and dont clip in both feet before you get going. may sound silly but ive seen it happen, youll have zero momentum and youre more likely to go sideways than forward.

sorry one more thing, one side is going to have a left hand thread, so that might be your problem too. i beleive the left pedal is the one with the left hand thread.

Yep, the left pedal is the opposite threading - clockwise loosens. Unless you have a good 15mm wrench with a narrow head (a crescent wrench won't do it), consider getting a decent pedal wrench - $10-$25. Or, just bring it to a bike shop and they can do it in about 2 minutes. Also, don't forget to put a little grease on the new pedal threads, otherwise you will have trouble getting those off too!
