  1. i started eating dates yesterday, and apparently gained 6.4
lbs in one friggin day! how did this happen? i ate maybe
2500 calories worth of them. any ideas?

  2. They probably made you thirsty and you drank more water than
usual or did not excrete water. Your weight gain had to be
extra water, not dates. Eat a can of peaches, drained and
rinsed. That should rid you of the excess water.

  3. If you've been previously consuming a very low carbohydrate
diet and you had depleted glycogen stores, AND you consumed
enough water to meet your thirst, your body might have built
up its glycogen stores and thus you gained lots of weight,
mostly water. I'm probably wrong however. You probably just
didn't measure right. 🙂 Or I can only explain half your
weight gain, and measurement error explains the other half?
    Who knows.
