Have you tried Wal-Mart? 8-) I think top of the line is
probably more subjective than objective, I've tried Nikes,
Asics and New Balance. I finally settled on the higher end
NB and have been very satisfied. -
Go to a running shoe store and have a knowledgeable person
fit you for a shoe that matches your weight, stride and foot
shape. Just picking a shoe based on other people's
recommendation or the color is a mistake. Be sure to take an
old pair of running shoes to give them an idea of your
normal wear pattern.Bob

...for me.
That doesn't necessarily mean they're good for you. There
are only 2 running shoes in this world I can wear w/o
getting some sort of injury. Some pair of Adidas I don't
wear because the heel slips and Brooks Adrenaline GTS.Get thee to a running shoe store that knows how to fit
shoes. They'll explain the rest.a.
