i've decided to take up running (duh!) and i know that right now i'm probably overdoing it a bit for a newbie. i've been putting in about 2 miles a day for about the last week and a half. but i'm not sore or anything... i'm really enjoying it. on saturdays and wednesdays i run outside and the other days i use the treadmill at the gym before work (5am, omg).
anyway... my question is... what is a normal running scheduel like. i feel like since i'm a beginner i should do these short stretches of runs (2 miles) more often until i build up endurance a bit more.
If you want to build up endurance. Take one day a week off and then run twice your normal distance the day after at a nice easy pace. After a couple weeks increase your daily mileage by a half mile continue taking a day off and continue to run double your daily distance the next day. Good luck !
PRESIDENT: The terrorists and Baathist holdouts know that a free and stable Iraq will be a major defeat to the cause of hatred and terror. They can't stand the thought of a free society. They know that the rise of democracy and hope in the Middle East will mean the decline of their appeal and influence. So the terrorists understand that Iraq is the central front in the war on terror. They're testing our will. And, day by day, they are learning, our will is firm, their cause will fail. We will stay on the offensive. Whatever it takes, we will seek and find and destroy the terrorists, so that we do not have to face them in our own country. "
