  1. im interested in pedals and shoes and im looking to spend around $150 on each

    thoughts on sh-125 shoes for around 140

    for the pedals
    look a5.1 for $130 (reg $170)
    or
    ultera spd-sl for $142

    for that much cash you should be set

    i really like speedplay, altho to tell you the truth i kinda feel like an old man riding them, so ill prolly swith to the new shimano look knock off soon.

    in my opinion there is no reason to ride anything besides speedplay or shimano. compared to look and others the shimanos seem to be better pedals with no squeaks, more walkable cleats, a great looking design and of course performance. unless you have hang ups about putting them on a campy bike.

    just to add, i think you should be able to find the ultegras for cheaper, more like 110 or 120 no?

    shoes are pretty personal, i dont like bells and whistles, and so pearls with three velco straps work great for me
