  1. I cant understand how u can have those avarge speeds?
like 40Km/h when i go for like 2hours i have 25 av,, ive started to race for like 2 months ago.,. before that i was canoeing and weight lifting.,. to the question! how can i raise my average speed ? i wanna do it the best way cause im gonna be in just for fun races, but i dont want to be the last one over the line! 🙂

  2. HI, I have same question and some more. Story is like this. on 3 hour training I and my partner we ride at average 30km/h. At 1 hour race we have average 41km/h there. I can manage that speed while siting in group. But if I go to front of group and want to do some work then I feel that I do that anaerobic not aerobic. And the same problem is at finish when speed is about 50km/h and there I cant do good finish. What training should I do to do team working aerobical and can do finish good too. Thanks in advance!

2 months??? It takes time, practice & effort. You also need to define what type of races you are doing because there are all sorts of strategies & training methods for all types. However, it all boils down to just riding.
An average two hour race - two quick ones is practice motor pacing to help work on you high end speed, practice acceleration by doing intervals, work on your endurance by riding longer & harder. Find group rides & do them as much as you can / practical.
There are quite a few good books out there on racing & training - I would check those out. Please remember that everyone is different & what works for one will not work for someone else - you will have to adjust your plan to you. If you are really serious, get a cycling coach who can help you with all facets of racing including eating, stretching, etc... I hope this helps

Motor pacing for your sustained high end speed. Interval training to work on sprints. Don't worry to much about working at the front if you want a really good finish - you will need to save your energy to sprint away when the pack is going 50k+. The more racing you do and the more miles you get in will help you improve on your ability to work on the front of the pack. Best of luck
