  1. My Grandmother taught me that every single person you meet
will teach you something. Every single one. The trick is to
figure out what that lesson is and then apply it to your
life. I have learned a valuable lesson from those assembled
here. I have suffered from crude oil poisoning which I
contracted years ago. This has caused me certain handicaps
which I strive daily to overcome. Due to the caring of
certain individuals I have been feeling better for the
first time in years. I thought there would be those who
could be helped as well. Obviously people aren't receptive
to help until they are ready for it. Regardless of popular
opinion I am an honerable man. Had I been dishonerable I
would have hidden who and where I was in this newsgroup.
But I put my real name and email address in here because I
cared. I understand the reaction I received even if I was
hurt by its vehemence. I extended a hand to help others and
it was ripped off and I was beaten up with it. But that
will not change my fate. I will still go on as I always
have, as my Grandmother taught me, caring for others. If
any individual still feels compelled to vent their feelings
to me I will not block them. Nor will I respond. You
obviously must do what you believe is right. So do I. I
will simply find a way to do that, which will be better
received and will honor my Grandmother's teachings. I have
a heavy heart over the way this "experiment?" played out.
But as I have learned, this must not have been the way the
Great Spirit wanted me to do it. So I leave you with best
wishes and perhaps we will meet again in better spirits.
Again thank you for another life lesson.

That's true. You have taught us that spammers have amazing
gall. Not only do you have an antispam return address on
your postings, your email account is set up so that it will
only forward emails to you if they are on your "known
senders" list. So it's OK for you to spam the world, but you
don't want it done to you.

opinions only, but they're almost always correct. "If I
have not seen as far as others, it is because giants were
standing on my shoulders." (Hal Abelson, MIT)

Since it's impossible that *everyone* one meets will teach
them something worthwhile, we're dealing with an idiot or a
    spammer. I'm guesing the latter,

Then you misinterpreted him. Gitchi Manitou qualifies as one

    Jesse,

I am so sorry you were treated badly. Unfortunately we have
a group here, who seem to have no compassion. They just wish
to argue. Please do not feel bad, you have been honest and
poured out your feelings, you don't owe any apology.

    God Bless,

    Jan
