Ah, yes, that. Saturday arvo was a tad chilly wasn't it?

I really should learn to scroll down the cycling forum topic list more instead of concentrating on todays trendy threads. Saintly Neil-T is a very happy Saintaas fan at present, and next May CM shall provide to be a very important milestone!

Think I'll announce something here. Just over a year ago several happy cyclists sitting around a big table at the Imperial came up with idea to start a different Bicycle Users Group.

We've done a lot of interesting stuff over the last 12 months, frequent beer tasting at Mountain Goat Brewery open nights, handing out Hawaiian lei's at the SSWC03, creating a line of fashionable drinking shirts with PubBUG logos. Not, forgetting, having a lots of (responsible) fun.

Now we are entering a new phase in development, our first HomeBrew, PubBUG Sidewall Stout. (actually a James Squire Oatmeal Stout) Should have the labels on it by Friday. Anyway, PubBUG should be down at the Goat Open Night this friday, check the yahoogroup list for more details.

A while back PubBUG received a email from BV (re: BUGStart), so we've been noticed by people of importance.:p

try and make it on Friday for a catch up session...

I just found a case of my mate's homebrew stout in a
cupboard here.. but I'm too scared to try it 🙂

We know, we were there! Both sitting behind Chris Chapman. Gold SS + Ti Commuter parked in town hall.

My mate (same one) also had a "Devil's Draught" which
was 8-9% alc/vol or something silly and it was sickly sweet
so a certain hippy could drink vast quantities of it.. 😉

As for stout putting hairs on legs.. I read the thread about
the lack of women on bikes and blokes shaving their legs.. I
usually have hairy legs but when I start to get fast or start
to train more seriously there's a psychological boost to
shaving. For me, it's like a sign that I'm taking this seriously.
At least as seriously as I can take anything 😉

As for getting busted on a bike with BAC >0.05, I knew that
and I've heard of a roller skater or skateboarder or something
being busted for it! That could very well be an urban myth
though.. no promises 🙂

They were pretty funky/daggy looking bikes, dual-susp I think, with fluoro painted chainstays(?) and Dial-A-Bike(?) written all
over it.
