I'll be doing an 8 hour race here in Japan on Monday....
About a 2km long raceway.
5 in our team and only one on the track at a time per team.
That works out to about 96 minutes per rider....
I figure 24 minutes X 4 to be a good time period to ride flat out and want my team to try and do it this way....
What do you think would be a good rotation for the 20 shifts so that nobody has to wait out the whole 8 hours before they are finished?
I'm thinking something like this.... but I'm sure the other members will have other plans!!!
Do we let our stronger riders do more?
We won't be able to change over exactly on the 24 minute mark, so do we work on laps?
I know we'll have to work it out ourselves, but if you could offer any ammunition for me, it may help!!!!

#3 is out there for the longest time span......
I don't this it is good for somebody to ride all day or have them wait around with their legs getting cold and hot cold and hot.... should we do longer shifts?
A 24 minute sprint is a lot easier than a 40 minute sprint as far as keeping a high average speed or are we going to lose too much time with each change over?
Is there a name for this kind of race?
The winning team is the team to complete the most laps in an 8 hour time period. We are fielding 5 teams!!!!! Could be congested out there on the course as well with no real pack.....
