  1. I am trying to find an accurate site where I can enter a
food and look up it's nutritional value. Nothing fancy, just
what shows on the labels in stores wood be fine I have found
a few (USDA among them) but they seems to very in their data
quite a bit. As close to what it says in the stores would be
preferable, downloadable would be even nicer.

This is an Australian site so generally relates to Aussie
foods which may differ from those in other countries. Mostly
brand names and names of ingredients though, although I
believe we have foods here that Americans for example don't
and Americans have foods we don't.

    dietclub.com.aucategory.php
    category_id=59&partner=

Also check this Aussie/New Zealand site which has some
    excellent info also:

    foodstandards.gov.aun
    utritionpanelcalculator/

Of course the info could be more detailed and a downloadable
database could be provided like the USDA provide, but
    hopefully it helps.

Of course if you manage to find a downloadable database
similar to the dietclub's one for Aussie foods I'd love to
    get my hands on it.

    Steven
