I have just checked the timetables and with the Bank Holiday
weekend coming up the long awaited trip to Arran is the plan
for Saturday morning if the weather is good. The plan at
this stage is to take the Sat am Ferry. Walk to Glen Rosa
campsite, pitch camp, and then ascend Goatfell on the
Saturday afternoon. Sunday would be the big round of the
other three Corbetts, starting from Glen Rosa and descending
to Sannox.
Can anyone help with the following info?
Any info on Glen Rosa campsite, prices etc.
Any info on bus times from Sannox back to Brodick late
Sunday afternoon
or the number of the local taxi service ?
or is thumbing a lift likely to be viable option bearing in
mind we want to make the last ferry of the day.
Hugh Spicer gave me some great info on Arran a couple of
years ago but I have changed laptop since then and lost the
info, so Hugh, if you are still out there can you help ?
