  1. are these still being manufactured cos my pair, which i was
    impressed with, are on their last legs ( a bit like me ,
    really...).

    if they've gone bust does anyone know of a dealer who might
    have some left on the shelf, or failing that, any
    recommendations for an equivalent / better boot?

    Yeah I've been impressed with my Neebee Phoenixs, which I
    bought on the basis of a favourable review.

    Neebee went out of business in November 2002.

    Which? magazine did a review a few months ago - I believe it
    was for general purpose boots - Berghaus Sportrek GTX came
    first, Berghaus Explorer III was second. As ever with
    reviews, it's worth reading what the criteria were and how
    they tested them to check that it matches your requirements.
