I have a Sharp microwave/convection. I use the convection as
much if not more than the microwave. They're not cheap
though but if this one dies I'll buy another one.

I have a 6 or 7 year old Sharp Kimberly. It works very well.
It is the only oven I have actually. It has some limitations
but nothing insurmountable.

I have the sharp Carousel Smart & Easy micro-convection, and
I will never have just the "plain" micor-only sort again.
The only things I ever use my standard large gas oven for
anymore are to bake cookies, so that I can do two large
sheets at a time, or to bake other dishes that need to be in
containers too large for the Sharp. The only down-side,
though not at all a problem for me, is that because of the
the convection this model claims to be bake faster than my
standard oven, and that's rarely true by any more than a
couple of minutes per half hour, if that.

Though the last quite large microwave I had was in
excellent working condition, I bought this micro-convection
while having extra cash and it's convection oven capability
seemed a great feature for my living alone and baking in
smaller amounts with regularity. Plus, using this Sharp
frees my stove oven for the unbothered storing of all my
large pans while having a very limited amount of kitchen
cupboard space.

I've had a Sharp Carousel microwave convection for about six
years and love the way it bakes bread. Yesterday, I made
cinnamon rolls from the can in about 15 minutes flat using
only the bake mode.

Baking yeast breads takes about 1/3 less the time using the
microwave/convection mode and the bread browns without
burning. I had a convection oven which I was not too pleased
with, but the microwave combination is wonderful!

I replaced my over the range microwave with a Sharp
convection/microwave last April. I looked at a number of
options including the Advantium and similar ovens by
Kitchenaid. The Sharp had the features that I wanted, seemed
the easiest to operate, and was the lowest price. I figured
that I might use the oven as a back-up or second oven for
large meals. Since getting the unit, I have all but
abandoned the convection oven in my range. The convection
microwave is probably the best appliance that I even owned.
Since there are only two of us, I can fit nearly everything
into the smaller oven. It preheats to 350F in 5 minutes. The
oven will operate in three modes: standard microwave,
standard convection, and combination or mix mode. Last night

minutes without any preheating and the potatoes came out
like they would in a regular oven. It works great on frozen,
prepared foods. The convection works like an impinging oven
because the fan is very close to the food. Combined with the
turntable, you get very nice results with roasts and

mode for braising and crock pot cooking, a keep warm
function, and can be set for proofing bread. There is a
broil setting, but it only approximates broiling and I would
say that this is the weakest function. I use the oven
regularly for finishing meat that I have seared on the range
top. I can put an 8 inch sauté pan right in the oven,
smoking hot. I would never want to be without the oven. This
