  1. I've been running for two and a half months now... doing
mostly 30 minutes run, 3-4 times a week.

I started doing some interval work once a week, running
for 90 seconds then slowing down for another 90, etc...
    for 6-7 times.

I went playing soccer this past weekend, and I got
completely sored. I thought I'm in shape but I guess that if
I'm that sored I'm not in any good shape, ha?

I'm running a long run once a week, usually 10K.

    Thanks. Asaf.

The stops, starts, twists and turns of soccer use different
    muscles than running.

Maybe you got "so-red" because it was a sunny day.

how long did you play soccer?

as bob mentioned, soccer uses a different set of muscles. if
this is your first time playing soccer, soreness is to be
expected. keep at it and you'll get used to it and soon no
    more soreness.

it also helps to massage/stretch your legs after your soccer
session. maybe a little cooldown in the form of a few laps
    of running.

They are fairly different kinds of running, with limited cross-
training. I found that in basketball and tennis too.
