    No single macronutrient causes obesity.

    Overeating (quantity not quality) causes obesity.

    People eating brownies with Zero (0) net-effective carbs are
    being snookered into believing that they won't gain weight
    just as people in the 80's were snookered into believing
    that eating fat-free cakes would not lead to weight gain.
