  1. ARGHHHHHHHHH! 132.4 this morning ... tom again, already,
whatever. Need I say more? I swear my body has now decided
to go totally wacko on me. <g> Other than that, and possibly
two days of eating some fantastic jambalaya (which was
    rather salty) no reasonable explanation.

On the plus side ... my jeans are feeling incredibly
    baggy. LOL

Ignore the weight, go with the jeans! 😉

  3. You know this is so strange, but I seem to be getting
smaller, although I have not changed in weight for some
months now. Not really you know? It seems to be doing some

  4. Exactly what I've been going through, which is why I'm
getting better at not letting the number on the scale get
the best of me. This morning I actually did laugh at it,
found it quite humorous (and expected). You know I didn't
formally exercise through the weightloss portion of my
journey, didn't really start faithfully until sometime in
the fall of last year - might even have been closer to
winter. <G> Now I rarely miss a day on the old treadmill and
do stay the same weight, somewhat ... swinging within a 5
pound range - but I swear I am getting smaller. That or
manufacturers are playing a game with my head ... or
gremlins are busy at work in my closet adding material to my
jeans and t's. Today I threw a sweater on that I bought on a
lark, nothing special - deeply cut V-neck, have to wear a
tank under it (or show my belly button!). I had only worn it
once this entire winter, didn't like the way it fit - seemed
cut too short and a tad too form fitting in the arms and
chest. Today it's longer (imagine that) and loose - very
comfy and has me wondering why it has sat so long in the
closet. Two weeks ago I was trying on pants/shorts and
walked out frustrated with only one pair ... oh, and a belt
to hold my *old* jeans in place. Everything I tried on was
too big - but the same size I had been purchasing (I did
purchase a pair of smaller capris though). I think the body
has definitely been doing something - even if the scale
refuses to show it. Of course, I no longer take measurements
so I can't prove a thing. It seemed pointless to continue
taking them when on maintenance as nothing was changing ...
    or so I thought.

  5. Too strange. I almost lost a pair of shorts I had been
wearing regularly with no problems today, put too much junk

Right now I weigh within 5lb the same as I did at the end of
August, but I'm in completely different trousers. I wore a
size 20 in jeans at the end of august but now I wear a size
16 jeans. Still bigger at the top half, thanks to my
grandmother's [censored]! But I would be lost in the clothes I
    was wearing seven months ago.

People keep commenting on how well I'm still losing, and
don't believe me when I say I've only lost a few pounds in 7
months. I guess my skin is 'taking up the slack' as a friend
    delightfully described it.

  10. You are toning, this was discussed in a recent WW meeting.
My leader who has been at goal for nearly 35 years had not
toned up in the past 6 months to a year, she has included
some toning exercises. She now fits into a dress that she
bought a while back that was just too snug for her, although
in her size. She was proud of the fact that she is still
weighing the same as when she bought the dress, but that the
toning had helped her to finally fit into that particular
dress. She is now an avid believer in toning exercises along
with the strenuous workouts to burn calories.

    jeans and t's.

Right now I weigh within 5lb the same as I did at the end
of August, but I'm in completely different trousers. I wore
a size 20 in jeans at the end of august but now I wear a
size 16 jeans. Still bigger at the top half, thanks to my
grandmother's [censored]! But I would be lost in the clothes I
    was wearing seven months ago.

I found the same thing when I was losing, would stall a bit
and the body would shift around - then the losses would
start up again. I didn't expect it to continue into
maintenance, especially not after over 9 months of
maintenance. And the chest was the last of me to leave, and
    it still is shrinking. <grin>

    Quoted message said:

People keep commenting on how well I'm still losing, and
don't believe me when I say I've only lost a few pounds in
7 months. I guess my skin is 'taking up the slack' as a
    friend delightfully described it.

I like that description! My brother told me the other day
that he thought I had lost more weight. Nope, no loss ...
    definitely no loss.

  15. Oh yea, I had counted on that ahead of time. This week
seemed to be the week for trying new recipes - all with more
sodium than usually consumed. We tried a homemade chicken
pasta carbonara - which was pretty good but not overly worth
the effort. The jambalaya will definitely be a repeater
though - even with the sodium content. It was my first
attempt, and everyone loved it. A little point heavy
(7.5), but not overly bad and the portion size was huge.
What amazed me was the original recipe claimed 6
servings, but called for a full pound of smoked
sausage, 3 pounds (yes three) of shrimp and 1.5 cups of
uncooked rice. I looked at it several times and thought
that sounded like an incredible amount of food. I think
it also worked out to something like 1200 calories per
serving. LOL I revamped the recipe with great results -
added more veggies to it, cut the shrimp down to
8.5 pounds, and used 12 ounces of skinless chicken sausage,
cut the rice back to 1
9/8 cup (will cut it back further to 1 cup next time). It
still made a huge skillet full, and hub and I finished it
for dinner last nite ... but MY version worked out to 381
calories per serving. Served with more veggies on the
side, and a salad. We were definitely stuffed.

  16. I don't have anything recent to compare with ... think the
