Sounds like blushing. People blush for reasons other than
embarrassment, and not just for strong emotions like rage.
Well there is a difference between blushing and what I
experience here. When I blush because I am embarrased, I am
much more red in the face but my ears are fine. However like
I pointed out, my face is red (not much) but my ears are
very red and hot. This only happens when I am intensely
focused on something... I have the feeling that I am "in the
zone" because I forget about everything around me and my
personal problems... every bit of my attention is focused on
one thing. I assume it is a lot more blood having to flow to
my brain... but I find it amazing I do not have a headache
during all this.

also be tensing your muscles while you concentrate,
without being aware of it. It may help if you get some
exercise every day to get into better condition
physically. Then you won't get so tired so easily.
I don't have any medical qualifications, but anon says
you're normal.
Well I am only tired if I keep it up for hours. Like the
other day I was playing Counter-Strike (popular video game).
Within an hour I became so focused I forgot about my
surrounds and personal problems. I was able to do this for 4
hours. At the end I ended the game play and went home for
the weekend. I was extremely tired at the end. However 99%
of the time I am not as focused (even though I try hard to)
and I could play for 6 hours or more and when I end the game
play, I feel like I always do.
Oh yea.. I know I am normal. I am just wondering why I
experience this every so often... basically it happens every
time I am "in the zone."
