  1. I saw the other day on one of the posts (can't find it now)
that there is an alternative to the Garmin PC cable which
can be bought for £9 instead of approx £29. Can anyone tell
me where this can be purchased.

    Thanks

    Can't see anything as cheap as £9 - I paid around £12 for a
    data cable
    - but certainly a lot cheaper than an official Garmin cable.
    Good products and good service.

Prices from lynks.co.uklynks.co.uk (see my previous
message) include P&P within the UK.

  5. Norma at lynks.co.uklynks.co.uk does a fantastic job for very little money.

She operates a trust scheme. She'll send you the plugs to
make your own cables very very cheaply. If your happy then
you send (pledge) an amount of money.

I know that in the last few months she though about not
bothering anymore, I think it was becoming more hassle than
it was worth. This would be a terrible shame.

    cheers

GPS Warehouse do them and they are a lot cheaper.

    Go here ... www.gpsw.co.uk

Takes a bit of navigating to get there though !

Go to the Receivers and Sat-Nav link top left of main page.

Choose a GPS say perhaps Recreational

Under Basic Hand Held Receivers choose 'browse'

Then where all the models are shown there is a link across
to the right that says 'Related Items'

Scroll down the page and you will see interface cables.

Obviously you will have to choose the link related to
    your GPS unit.

    Phew !

Thanks Pete. Bought from here and it arrived next day. Works
perfectly. £12.95, P&P free, excellent value.
