I drive a lot for work 200+ miles a day. So frankly speaking
my lower back and butt hurt at the end of the week! I'm a
bit shy about asking my MT to give me a massage down there.
I know MT are professionals but how do I go about asking her
to massage my glutes a bit more? Do I just say "can you
massage me more?" or what? I have a

explain to her that you do a lot of driving and need more
work done on your lower back and gluteal area. Probably
your legs need more attention too. I had a walk in client
one day with the same problem - he'd driven 80 miles and
back the same day and wasn't used to the driving. The
lower back, sacral area, glutes and thighs, especially
just above the knees were what was bugging him. As long as
you act appropriately, she shouldn't think that you're
coming on to her.sue

I agree with Sue. It's not uncommon for glutes to be
massaged, especially when there are low back issues. Act
appropriately and there shouldn't be even a raised eyebrow.Ben Crabtree, RMT, CNMT San Antonio, Texas

For lower back problems you should have your lower back,
glutes, hamstrings and your calves massaged. Just one other
thing is hows your posture as this could/will contribute to
your problem."suzee" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

Look at it this way: If your intentions are honorable, then
parts is parts! My favorite MT does a lot of lateral hip
work skin to skin and does the more medial glute work
through the sheet. If your MT is good, they'll hit the spots
that matter if you tell them where it hurts. Don't forget,
parts is parts.JS
