  1. Does anyone have any advice on getting large sized cycling shoes? I just recently had this problem with cross country ski boots, I ended up having choose one of the few boots that was made in a size 50, and had to have my local shop order it from among the two pairs that were in a warehouse on the east coast.

Am I going to be facing a similar situation with cycling shoes? The limited effort I've put in so far to find a pair large enough for me has turned up nothing. Most brands it seem only go up to 49 at the most.

Is there a brand that runs larger? If the shoe runs large I might be able to squeeze into a 49.

    thanks in advance,
    Michael

  2. Northwave do 50s. Their sizes seem about right too (unlike the usually undersized Shimanos).

    Good luck.

  3. SIDI makes mtb shoes up to size 52! (I have a pair.) Are you looking for road or mtb shoes? Nashbar.com has a few models of road and mtb shoes up to size 50. (you can search for shoes by size there - great site.) By the way, what kind of x-c ski boots did you find? I'm hoping to track some down myself, even if I have to squeeze into a 50. Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    --Mike.
