Does anyone have any advice on getting large sized cycling shoes? I just recently had this problem with cross country ski boots, I ended up having choose one of the few boots that was made in a size 50, and had to have my local shop order it from among the two pairs that were in a warehouse on the east coast.
Am I going to be facing a similar situation with cycling shoes? The limited effort I've put in so far to find a pair large enough for me has turned up nothing. Most brands it seem only go up to 49 at the most.
Is there a brand that runs larger? If the shoe runs large I might be able to squeeze into a 49.
SIDI makes mtb shoes up to size 52! (I have a pair.) Are you looking for road or mtb shoes? Nashbar.com has a few models of road and mtb shoes up to size 50. (you can search for shoes by size there - great site.) By the way, what kind of x-c ski boots did you find? I'm hoping to track some down myself, even if I have to squeeze into a 50. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks --Mike.
