Why do I bother?

few days either, so lots of filth on the road. Now there's
lots of filth on my sparkly clean bike. And it didn't just
rain, it monsooned, and hailstoned too, and for the first
time ever I thought "sod this" and ran for shelter.

I got rained on today and my nice clean bike is now filthy.
At least it wasn't too cold.

Note to self.. Ergo brake levers are really slippery when
wet. Remember this next time you're doing 40mph downhill.

The bike's in the LBS (I'm getting the hang of this) for a
6-month service after my list of little problems was
growing, so hopefully, this time tomorrow it'll just be a
case of riding it without wondering what that odd noise is,
or should that happen or shouldn't it, hopefully...

There's nothing like a downpour to bring out the worrying squeaks and rattles in a bike. I was out on Sunday and the same thing happened. For the last 3 miles home I was wondering why my pedal had started squeaking every third revolution... I am still wondering so I'm gonna take it to bits in the garage and see if there's any grease left in it.

As for soiling your bibshorts... too much detail :eek:
