But then it occurred to me that it's probably quite a useful
reminder to get out and feel the wind in what hair I've got
left as often as possible while I still can.

I also wrote a fairly anti-helmet letter to C+ about 10
years ago. I don't have a copy of the magazine now, but it
was broadly modern CTC policy, i.e. helmet promotion makes
people think cycling is unsafe, and what we need is more
people cycling because there is safety in numbers.
