I need help choosing a sweetner- there are so many sweetners out there!!! Which is the better of the two- Acesulfame K or Aspartame? I know they are both linked with cancer but I can't find any gum without it. Also I have tried stevia, but it tasted too sweet. Is there a certain stevia brand I should be purchasing?
Has the smell/taste of a stevia, troll, or it's flip side, a Aspartame troll basher.

So many reasonable intelligent people have opinions on all of these and other sweeteners, it's hard to find one to recommend. I personally use Splenda (a brand of sucralose) but the guy from www.mercola.com thinks the stuff is just as bad as aspartame et al. I don't know what to believe anymore. 🙁

Acesulfame-K and aspartame "linked with cancer." Peer reviewed studies do not justify such a statement (see Medline).
Absolutely. Many artificial sweeteners in their purest form are absurdly sweet. Take sucralose for example and aspartame and saccharin, etc. They're all hundreds of times sweeter than sugar if taken absolutely pure. So they dilute them hundreds of times when putting them in the little paper packet thingies and stuff. A pinch goes a loooooooooooooong ways.
