Hi folks, Anybody know anything about whether Copper Bangles
work to cure Rheumatism and Arthritis? Nobody I have asked
knows for sure how they are supposed to work but I have
found a place on the net (www.copper-bangles.co.uk) which
claim that their bangles redirect body electricity and cure
chronic rheumatic and arthritic problems in all ages. I want
to buy one as a present for my Grandma who suffers from
chronic arthritis in her hands bless her. I don't normally
believe in all this new age stuff but I saw Ian Botham the
former England Cricketer, wearing one in a TV advert
sponsoring a breakfast cereal recently and thought, well, if
it's good enough for him, he must be getting results so it
might be worth a try, but there are just so many offered on
the net. This firm seems about the cheapest and gives lots
of information. Are all copper bangles the same do you think
and how do they work if at all? Does anybody in this
newsgroup use them? Thanks for your help, Tracy

Oh yeah, absolutely, and make sure she turns around to the
left 3 times, walks backwards 3 steps, and hops on one foot,
the left, 3 times each night before going to bed. That
oughta do it.Seriously, snake oil does, on occasion make someone feel
better (usually the alcohol in it), but it's through the
placebo effect.Get her the bangles. She might enjoy wearing them; she can
tell her friends what you did for her, grandma's always like
to talk about their grandkids. She might even think she
feels better, although if she does she'll become ritually
attached to them. It won't hurt, although her wrist might
turn green, but, no, bangles won't cure rheumatism/arthritis
(rheumatoid arthritis).JS
